Below is a copy of the forum rules. These rules have not changed, but they are being published on the site as a reminder to existing users and for the benefit of any new users who join the site. These rules should provide a reference point to the general site rules that the Moderators of the forum have been using since the sites inception.

EK POOL Website Forum Rules
The rules listed below are in addition to the forum rules in the FAQ section of the site, and where any conflict of the rules take place, these rules will be adhered to first. If you have any questions or points to make regarding these forum rules, please PM a moderator and the issue will be discussed by the Forum Moderators.
 Pornography
We will not accept posts of a pornographic nature (either graphical or text based) at any time. Posts of this nature will be detailed to the EKPL committee as well as resulting in an EKPOOL (temporary) website ban for the offending user.
Moderators
Moderators control individual forums. They may edit, delete, or prune any posts in their forums. If you have a question about the forum,a particular forum section or a post, you should direct it to your forum moderator or administrator by PM only (Not on the forum!).
Duplicate Usernames
Users of this forum are not allowed to use more than one username unless given permission by an Administrator.
Starting a New Thread
- Try to make sure theres not already a thread covering the same topic as the one you intend posting.
- Duplicate threads will often be locked and a link inserted to the other active thread on the same topic.
- Try to choose what you think is the most appropriate section to post your new thread BEFORE posting.
- Try to name your thread appropriately (for instance, the heading "Cup" would be best with a date added to it, if it was about specific cup games on a specific date)
Posting Messages
When making a post, use the preview button to see how your post will look before submitting it. This will save you going back to edit it, or in some cases save a moderator from altering bad or extra code left in by accident. If you have any problems posting, or need help, please PM a moderator for information.
Swearing
There is a swear filter in use on the forum due to complaints from users about the use of certain words. Please do not post using codes or accents so that your swearword will appear "normal". Only TWO words (and various spellings of) remain on the censor list. If you think a word should or should not be on the censored list, please PM a Moderator asking for the words inclusion or exclusion on/from the list to be reviewed.
Capitals
- All users are asked not to post every post in capitals as its harder to read long posts and considered shouting on internet forums. That apart, posting in capitals and in thread titles is allowed.
Abusive Posts
Many of the posts on forums are intended as light hearted banter. If you feel that theres a post that is intended as abusive, and not light hearted banter, please PM a Moderator to review such posts. The moderator you PM will reply to you once the post/posts have been reviewed.
Smilies (/ Animations)
- Please use Smilies sparingly in your posts.
- Do not post more than 10 smilies in the one post.
Pictures
Including pictures in posts is allowed, but please do not do it too often. Preference is for pictures to be linked to, rather than posted. Pictures posted that are bigger than 2 inches x 2 inches may possibly be removed.
Off Topic Posts
Please try not to post off topic posts. Lots of threads in lots of forums on the internet wander off topic from time to time, but please dont be complacent and wander off topic without considering whether theres a better thread for posting your post in, or the possiblility of creating a new thread for your post.
Thread "Conversations"
Please try to use common sense and utilise the PM function to make arrangements and suchlike, rather than post back and forth on a thread about a specific subject to make (meeting) arrangements etc...
Foreign Languages
Do not post post all or partly in Foreign Languages or your post may be edited or deleted completley. Please post in ENGLISH only!
Complaints / Problems
If you have any observations, complaints or problems you wish dealt with, please contact one of the forum Administrators by PM only. DO NOT post it on the FORUM!
DO NOT take a thread off topic by posting questions in it! Your point will be dealt with by the forum administrator you PM, or it will be discussed in the private Moderators forum by the site Moderators/Administrators until resolved.

Some Rules of the forum IN THE FIRST POST IN THIS THREAD have been removed or relaxed.....details are as follows:-
Swear Filter
There is now only 2 words on the swear filter. The swear filter was introduced due to complaints about certain words. If you feel words should be included or removed from the filter please contact myself or Madmax.
Capitals
Ruling has been relaxed/changed so that posting in all capitals are allowed in thread titles and also in posts, though posting in all capitals in every post is requested to not happen.
Smilies / off site smilies and animations
The maximum smilies per post is increased to 10 on site smilies. animations and smilies from other sites are allowed too, but please dont post too many per post of off site animations. This has been increased due to the website now being on a new server which can handle increased activity much more than the last one.
As always, if you consider the rulings on here need changed, please contact myself or Madmax, and it will be discussed before replying back any feedback

5) Direct personal attacks on fellow site users or moderators are not tolerated in any form. We can all take a bit of banter, but if a post is deemed offensive by a fellow user they should PM a moderator and provide a link to the post. If a discussion is taking place about you in which you are not comfortable or happy about it, raise it with myself or Oby who will post on the thread concerned asking for it to cease.
6) If a moderator removes/edits a post/signiture/avatar of yours, you may recieve a PM informing you why. Due to time constraints/work comitments this is not always possible. If you notice a post/signiture/avatar has been removed/edited and you have not been informed, feel free to contact a moderator - DO NOT post on the forum asking why. All posts of this nature will be removed.
Just to reiterate, we all come on here for enjoyment, information and a bit of banter, and don't want to clamp down too hard on every little thing, however as an adminstrator and moderator I have to deal with every complaint made and try to be fair to all users.
