X - Rules

How it works:-
Each player will play each person in the league one time over best of 16 frames at their own choice of venue, sharing the table time between them.
AT LEAST 1 day prior notice of any match being played must be given to myself by PM or phone. I will then update it on the EKPL forums.
2 points per win
1 point for an 8-8 draw
0 points per loss
If 2 players are tied once all matches are complete then their head to head record counts first, then frames for will count. If its still tied between them there will be a best of 7 frame play off to settle their placings. In the result of multiple ties for places that cant be sorted by head to heads then frames for will be used.
Once group placings have been decided the 1st placed player will face the 4th placed player and 2nd will play 3rd placed player in the semi finals.
The semi finals and the finals will be played on the same day at an arranged venue when all 4 players have agreed they can attend.
Semis are best of 9 frames
The winners of the semis will play each other in the finals on the same day immediately following the semis
The Final is best of 11 frames.
I will spend £20 of my own money on an engraved trophy for the winner.
10 players @ £50 = £500 taken in
Prizemoney based on 10 players:-
Winner - £160 + Trophy
Runner up - £125
Both Losing Semis - £80 (x2 players)
5th place - £55
6th - 10th place - £0
No Refunds will be given.
Players are reminded that they must play 3 games by the end of January 2007!

I'd like to thank all 10 players for playing in Tournament X, a new (revived) concept to EK Pool, and making it a success.
All of the players playing in it, said it benefited their game and they enjoyed the format of it.
Thanks to Madmax for coming on board to help me run the newly formatted X Leagues (which Tournament X was the initial tournament of).
Congratulations to Colin Philip for winning the event. Well deserved!
Sadly, Colin couldnt pledge playing in X2, mainly due to lack of time, and so he is the only one from X who isnt in X2.
