League starts: ASAP in Sept

Order of play: I will issue contact list. Arrange your own matches as per fixtures. Minimum requirement of 2 matches first month (Sept) possibly 3 per calendar month thereafter. It is perfectly acceptable to play as many matches as you wish in one day.

League stages end: A deadline will be determined once the numbers in each group have been determined and referencing this against playing 2/3 matches per calendar month.

Measures to ensure group stages are completed by deadline: When the fixtures are typed up, one player from each fixture will be known as the ‘lead player’. This will be evenly distributed across all players. It is the ‘lead players’ responsibility to make every effort to arrange the match. If the lead player makes minimal or no attempt to arrange the match, then the other player will be awarded a default win of 8-4. However, if the ‘lead player’ keeps me updated that they are making the effort and the other player isn’t accommodating, then in that instance the lead player will be awarded a default win of 8-4. NB making an ‘effort’ a day or so before the final deadline will not be accepted.

Notice per match: As in advance as possible! Minimum requirement- I must KNOW about the match i.e. as long as you inform in advance, say 1 hour, you must gain an acknowledgement from me e.g. speak to me on phone, a returned text msg etc. If I don't acknowledge and the match takes place, it will be void.

Eligible players: Everyone outwith the last superleague teams, This seasons A team or last seasons poolmania/Masters top 10 are eligible. “I think everyone grasps the concept behind this league. If there are any 'dubious' entries in your view that goes against what this league is trying to achieve, please let me know”

Amount of players: Due to time constraints there will be a limit of 28 this season. The field will be broken down into groups with a maximum of 7 in any group e.g.
18 entries = 3 groups of 6
28 entries = 4 groups of 7.

Deciding the groups: Random draw BUT, with last seasons Finalists being kept apart.


Points per match: 2 per win, 0 for loss

No. of frames per match during league: 11 (best of 11 = 1st to 6 no further frames required once a player has reached 6)

Number of qualifiers from groups: Up to 16entries- 4 (semi finals onwards). 16 to 28 entries- 8 (Quarter finals onwards).

In the event of a tie: Frame difference will count first. If tied on frame difference, then head to head result will count. If still tied, then a best of 7 playoff will determine position.

How do you qualify for knock out stages: There will be an equal amount of automatic qualifiers from each group.

Knock out stages: It is intended for the semi finals onwards to take place on the same day. Date agreed by participating players. Last 16 / last 8 if applicable will be arranged by the players involved.

Draw for knockout stages: The draw will be seeded. The seedings will be determined by adding all 8 qualifiers into the one group and referencing their points won and frame difference to determine positions.

Quarter Final: (Best of 13) Semi Final: (Best of 13) Final: (Best of 15) NO 3rd/4th place playoff:

Prize money: 28 entries - there is prize money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th to 8th.

Trophies: NON, my intention is to payout all entry fees (except approx £20 for mobile phone costs + money to cover table costs for final and semis)
