PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:42 pm    Post subject: Club 2k Monday Night Singles League Cup Reply with quote

Starting from Monday the 23rd of April I will be running a singles league in the Club 2k (using 3 of the good tables).

The format will be 2 leagues of 8 with 3 points for a win & 1 for a draw and the league will seed a winners and losers knock out tournament.

Each league week everyone will play 1 best of 8 match (all frames will be played out as frame difference will decide players tied on points). If 2 players are tied on points and frame difference at the end of the league the result between them will decide who finishes higher. If their match was a draw there will be a 1 frame play off.

Monday the 11th will be used to catch up any matches that weren't played if people had to miss a week.

On Monday the 18th of June there will be a knockout tournament for the top 4 in each league with the following 1st round draw

winner league 1 v 4th league 2
2nd league 1 v 3rd league 2
3rd league 1 v 2nd league 2
winner league 2 v 4th league 1

On the 25th of June there will be a consolation knockout tournament for the bottom 4 of each league and the 4 players knocked out in the first round of the winners tournament. Bottom 2 and those knocked out in the 1st round of main tournament will have to play preliminary matches.

Entry is £10, which guarantees an absolute minimum of 60 frames so works out at roughly 16p a frame even if you lose every single match. This is a great tournament for anyone looking for cheap match practice!

All money paid in will be paid out as prize money as Monty has kindly offered to open the tables for this tournament. The prize money will be split as below

Winners tournament
Winner £60
Runner up £30
Losing semi finalists £14

Consolation cup
Winner £15
Runner Up £ 7

There is also a £10 bonus for each league winner.

I will provide times for each match so there shouldn't be too much waiting around. If you want to enter please PM me or text me on 07525 655158. If there is anyone you know that you think would be interested that isn't on this site please spread the word.

I plan to do the draw on Tuesday the 17th of April so all entrance money is required by then.

Entries so far:

1 Ewan McRobert - PAID
2 Accumulator - PAID
3 Kev Irving - PAID
4 Billy Edmunds - PAID
5 Chris Bryden (PAID)
6 Ian Wilson - PAID
7 Scrappy - PAID

made the draw in Club 2k last night. If, like me, you're in league 1 with Billy Edmunds and Kev Irving blame Celine from the Cuesters who did the draw(seriously Celine cheers for helping out).

League tables and fixtures can be found here:

http://www.fixturelist.com/leagueinfo.php?l=19464

Ally Leckenby can't make it this week and Scuba is looking 2 play 2 matches as he's going to miss a few weeks on honeymoon so Chris Bryden doesn't have a match and Scuba and Ian Wilson will play two matches.

7.15 pm Lyndsay Mcquillan v David Gibson
7.15 pm Ian Wilson v Joe Mooney
7.15 pm Scuba v Scott Smith
7.45 pm Kev Irving v Billy Edmonds
8.15 pm Stuart Noble v Davie Dewar
8.15 pm Scuba v Ian Wilson
9.15 pm Aldo v Paul Watt
9.15 pm Scrappy v Ewan McRobert

Put times for the matches so hopefully people aren't waiting around too long (though obviously if a game runs on longer than expected there may be a bit of a wait). To try and keep things on schedule I will be docking a frame if you're not there when your match is ready to go on and then another frame every 10 mins till you turn up. Hoping this wont be necessary though.

I've facebooked Lynday and Chris, texted Scuba, Billy,Joe Mooney and Wilson. Don't have everyone else's contact details so if there is someone you know that is meant to be playing and doesn't normally go on this website can you let them know their time please.

If you think I've made a mistake with your result let me know.

Lynsey couldn't make it so I played 2 matches so Paul Hanlon had a match.

Will try to post next weeks fixtures tomorrow.

7.15 Scrappy v Billy Edmonds
7.45 Paul Watt v first match in his section finished

Got a couple of people playing 2 games this week to keep things on schedule (some have missed games and some I know are going to miss future weeks).

One of them is Stuart Noble since he missed last week. He has to leave at 9.30 for work though so its possible the 2nd match wont get completed. If its not done in time will just get the remaining frames played next week.

Not sure if Scuba will make tomorrow night as he'll just be back from honeymoon and possibly jet lagged. Will update this once I hear from him, but Joe Mooney is away on holiday shortly so if Scuba can't play hoping he can get his match with Scott Smith played instead.

7.15 Chris Bryden v Scrappy
7.15 Joe Mooney v Stuart Noble
7.15 Kev Irving V Ally Leckenby
7.45 Stuart Noble v Paul Watt
8.15 Ewan McRobert v Chris Bryden
8.15 Joe Mooney v Scuba / Scott Smith
8.45 Tommy Meldrum v Ally Leckenby
9.15 Billy Edmonds v Paul Hamill
9.15 Davie Dewar v Aldo

I've updated results, if you think I've made a mistake let me know.

http://www.fixturelist.com/leaguefixtures.php?l=19464

Next weeks fixtures (with provisional times) are:

6.30 Stuart Noble v Paul Watt
7.15 Scrappy v Tommy Meldrum
7.15 Joe Mooney V Davie Dewar
7.45 Ally Leckenby v Billy Edmonds
8.00 Stuart Noble v Scuba
8.15 Paul Watt v Davie Dewar
8.30 Scott Smith v Joe Mooney
9.00 Paul Hamill v Chris Bryden

If you can't make the time I've allocated please let me know.

Last few weeks I've had people contact me last minute saying they are working or can't make it. I really don't think you should wait till you see the fixtures to let me know when you can't make it, but this week nobody has any excuse as the times are up well in advance.

I've updated results and tables below:

http://www.fixturelist.com/leaguetables.php?l=19464

As always let me know if you think I've made any mistakes.

I wont be there next week as I'm having knee surgery. I shall post times for each fixture as soon as I can and am hoping after that it should pretty much organise itself. Lorraine knows I wont be there and to open the tables.

Afterwards can you either text me, pm me, or just reply to this thread with the score please.

Scuba has played Aldo result was 4-4. Next weeks fixtures are:

7.15 Ally Leckenby v Billy Edmonds
Stuart Noble v Scott Smith rearranged to next week
7.15 Joe Mooney v Davie Dewar
7.45 Scrappy v Paul Hamill
8.45 Paul Hamill v Chris Bryden

Ian Wilson can't make this week. I'd allowed a spare week the week after for catch up games so if you don't mind Paul you can play your match then.

I wont be there this week so can you text or pm me your results or just post them on this thread please. Also let me know asap if you can't make your match time so I can reorganise it

I'd like to borrow 3 decents sets of balls for the 2 finals weeks. If anyone has a set of their own or if their team has a set I can borrow can you let me know please.

Cheers.

sorry I've changed the above times as I'd put Chris on earlier than he could make it. Please double check your time hasn't been changed as a knock on effect and let me know if it doesn't suit.
