Season 2009/10 was a mixture of both highs and lows for The Jack(formally Westwood). The high points of the season came when we finished runner-up to the Murray in the League consolation cup and also reaching the semi final of the Robert Black Consolation Cup with the lows of the league position we eventually had. Hopefully this season we can continue the cup runs and bring that into the league.

General points on season 2008/09:

Jane married Dave and is now pregnant with their 2nd child.
It was Craig's first season in the league and at start of season he was in real contention for our player of the year but faded a bit when he got a new cue and took a while to get used to it.
Darren and Ewan both joined from the Tower last season, Darren had a good start then missed most of the season as he injured his knee and was on crutches.
Dave, Craig and to a lesser extent George all had runs at some point of the season which they thought put them in contention for their player of the year, but in the end Iain ran away with it.
No team in the league drew more games than them. Draws included good results against The Murray and the Top Guns. Draws also included a come back from 6-1 down against the Tower, who they managed to draw with twice during the season.

Speaking of come backs in the Robert Black cup we managed to come from 8-4 down in the first leg to win 9-3 against Club 2k.

Colin has to have had the most flukey shots of any player in the entire league due to his policy of "if in doubt hit it hard".
George must have said "too hard Colin" a thousand times during the season.

Internal player of the year awards are as follows:

2009/10 - Craig Poynts
2008/09 - Iain Gourley
